The White House will have to wait until Tuesday to see Trump on the Sunshine State.
President Donald Trump will be in Miami Beach this morning for the first time since taking office, the White House announced Tuesday.
The visit will mark the president’s first trip to Florida since taking the reins in January.
It’s also the first since the Republican-led Congress passed a tax cut package in April.
The president’s visit comes amid a federal probe into the company that owns the Trump Organization.
The Justice Department has subpoenaed documents related to the company’s finances and its compliance with the law, including a May 2017 document that lists the Trump Foundation’s charitable status.
The government has asked the foundation to provide more details, according to a copy of the subpoena obtained by The Associated Press.
A spokeswoman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
